Steep War Memorial Village Hall Club Wine Tasting Club

As part of the Trustees focus on securing a viable financial future while meeting the Objects of the Charity, it has been agreed to conduct a number of Social Activities in and around the Hall.  One of those is the SWMVHC – Wine Club – or Steep Village Hall Wine Club.  As a Club in it’s own right running inside the environment of the Village Hall, there is a focus on Wine Club Membership, with a subscription that offers discounted tickets to the tastings and on wine ordered at the event.  We plan to meet at three or four times annually and the tastings will be different, by colour, grape, region, season or something else – members get a say!

Alongside a paid subscription we offer a free membership for those who just want to come along an benefit from a guided tasting and be sociable!

Fundamentally, there are two types of membership:

• Paid

  • Individual – £18 pa.  Individual members are able to buy one discounted ticket per tasting.  In addition, where we offer the tasting an opportunity to order some of the wines in the tasting, there will be a £1 per bottle discount
  • Couple – £30 pa.  Couples who subscribe to this membership are able to buy two discounted ticket per tasting.  In addition, where we offer the tasting an opportunity to order some of the wines in the tasting, there will be a £1 per bottle discount

• Registered

  • Registered Membership is Free to Register. Such members will get advanced warning of tastings and email reminders, and be able to purchase up to 4 full price tickets for them and their guests, as well as ordering any wine we have available on the night, benefiting from any bulk discounts we have managed to negotiate.
